elliTek and Hanwha Robotics have teamed together to provide manufacturers with affordable collaborative robots to automate processes.

Hanwha Precision Machinery’s collaborative robots are among the easiest, most flexible, and safest cobots in the industry. Hanwha cobots can be applied to various processes, from straightforward tasks such as pick & place and palletizing up to dispensing, polishing, and screw driving tasks. These robots are designed for tedious, repetitive, and dangerous functions, giving your employees time to focus on high-value-added tasks and to work in a safer environment. In addition, Hanwha's HCR-5A is cleanroom rated!

elliTek’s Integration Team knows the ever-increasing challenges manufacturers are faced with daily. Our team is hyper-focused on recent trends in factory automation hence our partnership with Hanwha. Together, Hanwha collaborative robots and elliTek, can help manufacturers improve quality through process automation, cut operational costs with easily controllable equipment, offer flexible switch-over between processes for small-batch production, and improve dangerous work conditions. Our goal is to empower you and your team towards driving efficiency -- Making an Impact!

If you aren't sure if a collaborative robot is the best solution for your application, visit our FAQ page or speak with one of our automation experts, (865) 409-1555 today.

Let us know if you want a FREE demo of the HCR-5. If you're located in East Tennesee, our Sales Engineers can set up an onsite demo. Otherwise, we would be happy to demonstrate how intuitive Hanwha's HCR-5 is via an online demonstration.

HCR Advanced Series Collaborative Robots

Hanwha collaborative robot HCR series

Hanwha's Collaborative Robot Advanced (HCR Advanced) Series are six-axis articulated robots with exceptional space utilization. The HCR Advanced Series consists of three models that can be used to collaborate with workers:  HCR-3A, HCR-5A, and HCR-12A. These cobots can be applied immediately without changing the existing workspace, thereby reducing investment costs and operating expenses. They are easy to control and flexible in reacting to changes in the production layout. The HCR Advanced Series not only automates manual work but also provides a safer work environment.

The HCR Advanced Series can handle payloads from 3kg up to 12kg. The reaches range from 630 mm up to 1300 mm. The use of space is optimized with the flexible mounting options offered by the HCR Advanced Series:  0° from the floor, 90° to the wall, and 180° to the ceiling. The HCR Advanced Series cobots are stable and designed with redundant safety features such as collision detection, impact mitigation, joint rotation limit, joint speed limits, TCP speed limit, and virtual safety fence.

A key feature of the HCR Advanced Series is the ability to easily attach functional accessories such as grippers and force-torque sensors without the need to attach additional cables.

In addition, Hanwha offers five modules that users can select depending on the type of work and processes. The Robot AI 3D Vision (RAIV) is an AI visual solution that leverages its 3D camera and deep learning technology to optimize efficiency. Robot Visual Safety (RVS) adjusts the cobot's speed based upon the operator's distance to ensure safety. Mobility combines an autonomous Laser-Guided Vehicle with an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) to solve the HCR Advanced weight limits and improve productivity. Mobility includes the Robot Monitoring Service (RMS) to monitor the cobot's work environment and sound alarms in case of danger. Mobility also includes Robot Positioning Compensation (RPC) making the cobot easier to use and more accurate.

What makes Hanwha's Collaborative Robot Advanced Series stand out to elliTek's Engineering Team is the lightweight yet durable construction, affordability, ease of use, safety, and flexibility.

elliTek's Engineering Group designed an Airline and Cable Management kit to fit on Hanwha's HCR series collaborative robots. The kit is easy to install and inexpensive.

HCR-3A

Hanwha's HCR-3A cobot is their smallest, lightweight collaborative table-top robot. The benefits of infinite rotation on the end joint make it an excellent choice for screw driving and assembly applications.

Payload 3kg - Reach 630mm - This collaborative table-top robot can be easily installed and operated even in narrow spaces such as inside an industrial machine. HCR-3A is suitable for lightweight handling tasks as seen in the electronic industry -- tasks such as inspection, screw driving, and assembly. Since HCR-3A weighs only 28.5lb, it is easy to deploy without changing your manufacturing layout.
